Welcome to Blooming Minds Counseling! I understand that finding the right therapist can be a challenging and sometimes stressful process, whether you’re seeking support for yourself, your child, your family, or your relationship. To make your search a little easier, I’d like to share a bit about myself and my practice.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in both Tennessee and Colorado and the founder of Blooming Minds Counseling LLC. My passion for helping others led me to create this practice, where I offer Individual, Couple, and Family Therapy for children, teens, and adults dealing with autism spectrum disorder, Asperger syndrome, anxiety, depression, attention deficit disorder, trauma, and related conditions. I have advanced training in several treatment modalities, including Certified AutPlay Therapy, Advanced Certified Autism Specialist, and EMDR, ensuring a comprehensive and informed approach to therapy.
My approach is rooted in Salvador Minuchin’s structural family therapy, emphasizing a systemic, client-centered method. I tailor each session to meet the unique needs of my clients, with a focus on fostering positive change in their lives and relationships. Depending on the situation, sessions may include not only individuals but also parents, partners, siblings, grandparents, or caregivers. I believe therapy should be both effective and enjoyable, which is why I incorporate positive-reinforcement techniques and play-based interventions. In our sessions, you’ll often hear laughter and see smiles, as I strive to create an environment where healing is both engaging and supportive.
One of my greatest passions is nurturing plants. I love planting, growing, propagating, and caring for them, finding joy in watching them thrive and flourish. This passion for nurturing plants extends into my work with clients. Just as I care for each plant with attention and dedication, I bring the same commitment to supporting and guiding my clients on their journey.
