Hello, there! My name is Lauren Morgan, and I am currently a counseling initiate, completing a master’s degree in Counseling and Psychology on the Clinical Mental Health Counseling track at Tennessee Technological University, with the goal for obtaining licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health Services Provider (LPC-MHSP). A little about me: I am a teacher-turned-therapist! I also have a bachelor’s and master’s degree in English literature with experience teaching at the collegiate level. For years, I taught students about narrative, guiding them through the process of sharing their stories. Through this, I have encountered many stories of trauma, loss, vulnerability, mental health challenges, and physical limitations, among others – experiences that shaped not only the students but also my own approach to supporting, communicating, and helping others. Even now, as I work toward becoming a licensed therapist, I continue to be inspired by the power of narrative, creativity, inclusivity, and connection. I am committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to explore their own multifaceted and complex stories.
As a counseling intern at Blooming Minds Counseling, I am excited to work with those who are embarking on their steps towards healing and growth; it is an incredibly courageous thing to do, and I am truly humbled to be a part of that journey. I am both eager and deeply grateful for the opportunity to learn from the resilience and unique strength of those I have the privilege to support.
In my free time, I enjoy writing, listening to podcasts, attending live music events, and completing nature walks or hikes to reset and refocus!
